Children's Special Health


This program provides services to high risk pregnant women, high risk newborns, and children with special health care needs from birth to age 19 years.  The purpose is to assure diagnosis and treatment.  Applicants must be Wyoming residents.

     Services covered financially may include diagnostic evaluations, medical intervention and hospitalizations related to the qualifying condition, genetic counseling, air ambulance transport up to $2,000 per trip, travel assistance for families to get to medical care and medical equipment coverage related to qualifying condition.

     Medications are only covered for specific conditions.  Exclusions are:  well child care, acute illness or acute trauma, allergies, mental illness and psychological or counseling services.

     Coverage is limited for some conditions such as diabetes and asthma.

 


 
HOW TO APPLY:  Call our office to make an appointment with a nurse to complete application form, medical releases and financial form.

COST:  Based on 200% of Federal Poverty level (For 2006 - $3,333.00/month for a family of four).  Those with insurance or Title 19 may still qualify for this program.
