FAQs

Q: If I notice issues with parcel boundaries on the county's interactive mapping framework (IMF) system or layers I have purchsed who do I call?
A: The Sheridan County Assessor's office maintains the county parcel (ownership) mapping and therefore should be contacted if there is a possible discrepancy.

Q: I have a question about the internet mapping framework, can I call the department directly with questions?
A: Yes, however the best method for contacting the department is via e-mail.  Please consider going though the tutorial provided under the Help tab or on the launch page prior to calling.

Q: I want a county road map, where can I get one?
A: County road maps are available for $12 from the Public Works Department.

Q: Where do I go to get an address assigned?
A: An application for address, building permit, or zoning permit must be submitted to the Public Works Department.  The Public Works Department will then assign the address using proper procedure.

Q: Where can I obtain GIS data?
A: This depends, the Public Works Department maintains the majority of the data available on the mapping site, however the Assessor's office maintains the parcels layer.  If you have questions about where to obtain the data feel free to e-mail the IT department and I may be able to point you to the proper source.
