close Currently, a position is open for an Airport Mechanic/Maintenance Worker to perform routine and preventive maintenance and mechanical work on airport owned vehicles and equipment. ASE Certified with a minimum 5 years experience as a mechanic in light, medium and heavy duty automotive and diesel equipment, applications to include welding and fabrication skills. Position also performs routine building maintenance, janitorial services, snow removal, grounds keeping and repair work in the upkeep and safe operation of the Sheridan County Airport. Selected applicant will receive training in the operation of Sheridan County Airport's Aircraft-Rescue-Firefighter vehicles and firefighting techniques. Possession of, eligibility for, a basic emergency care (BEC) certification in the State of Wyoming and a valid Wyoming motor vehicle operator's license. This position is 40 hours/week with varying rotating shifts, overtime is required during inclement weather and emergencies. Work is performed indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and in close proximity to mechanized equipment, aircraft, machinery and other potentially hazardous conditions. Sheridan County Airport participates in a drug and alcohol testing program and the successful applicant will undergo a criminal history background check.
