Where can I pick up an application for a concealed weapon permit?
Applications for new concealed weapon permits as well as applications may be obtained at the Sheriff's Office.
How much does it cost to file a new Concealed Weapon permit?
The cost for filing a new permit is $81.00 cash if the Sheriff's Officer notarizes the request, and $79.00 if you have someone else notarize your form.
How long is a Concealed Weapons Permit good for?
Concealed Weapons permits are good for 5 years.
How much does it cost to renew my permit?
The cost of renewing your permit is $50.00 cash. If you renew after your permit expires, you will be required to pay an additional $10.00 cash.
What do I need to bring with me when applying for a Concealed Weapon Permit?
In order to apply for a new permit, you must provide the Sheriff's Office with a copy of your Hunter's Safety certificate, DD-214 from the military, or other proof of gun proficiency.
Do I have to be fingerprinted when applying for a Concealed Weapon Permit?
Yes. Fingerprinting is done Wednesday and Friday from 8:30am to 12:00pm at the Sheriff's Office.
Where can I obtain a copy of the rules and additional requirements for a Concealed Weapon Permit?
That information is available at the Sheriff's Office. To find out if other states will honor your Wyoming permit, contact the state agency for that state before you travel.

These services are available Wednesday and Friday from 8:30am to 12:00pm.
Do I need to make an appointment for and I.D. card or fingerprints?
No. You only need to arrive during the times the services are available.

What do I need to bring with me when I get an I.D. made?
You must have your birth certificate or a copy of it and some other form of identification. Examples would include your social security card, drivers' license, or anything else with your name on it?
Will an I.D. card from the Sheriff's Office work for a State I.D.?
No, the I.D. card is not State Issue. If you need a State of Wyoming I.D. card, you may obtain it at the Drivers' License Bureau.

CIVIL PROCESS:
How much does it cost for the Sheriff's Office Civil Process Server to serve a paper?
Effective July 1, 2007: The cost for service on all civil process papers is $35.00 per action or per address. The Sheriff's Office will attempt to serve the paper three times for that fee. An additional fee of $5.00 will be charged for each additional attempt at service.

Please include a self addressed stamped envelope so that the service return may be sent to you. Please include any stipulations for your state that must be followed. Papers will not be served unless pre-payment is received.
