Public Notice Regarding Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Application

The County Commissioners of the County of Sheridan are seeking public input and public comments on a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application.  The County is interested in obtaining funding for construction under the Community Facilities Grant Program for facility relocation for Compass Center for Families.  The grant request contemplated will not exceed $500,000.

Other possible CDBG applications may be considered provided they support at least one of three National Objectives:

  1. Benefit to low and moderate income persons
  2. Aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight
  3. Activities designed to meet community development needs having a particular

The Wyoming Business Council administers the CDBG Program and lists the available funding on their web site at http://www.wyomingbusiness.org/cdbg.

 

A public Hearing to take public testimony and solicit public opinion on this matter will be held on June 5, 2018 at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as possible in the Commission Chamber, second floor courthouse addition, 224 S. Main St., Sheridan, WY  82801.   Accommodations will be made for handicapped and non-English speaking minority individuals who wish to attend the Public Hearing.
