Sheridan County has a sales tax rate of 6%, consisting of the 4% statewide base sales tax rate and two additional 1% increments approved by Sheridan County voters. Sales tax does not apply to sales of most foods for domestic home consumption, rental payments, home purchases or gasoline purchases.
