Flagger to Stop Traffic When Log Trucks Descend Red Grade Monday, July 19 to Thursday, July 22, 2021

The Sheridan County Board of County Commissioners would like to inform the public starting Monday July 19th, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., travelers going up Red Grade Road (County Road 26) can expect delays.

Flaggers will be stopping traffic at the bottom of Red Grade to allow trucks hauling logs from a fuel mitigation project to descend Red Grade safely.  Hauling will be limited to weekdays Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

While trucks may not haul every day, it is anticipated that there could be 15-minute delays through August when hauling is in progress.  The Commissioners will notify the public if there are any changes to the timeline of this project.
