Notice of Public Hearing

The Sheridan County Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing pursuant to Wyoming Statute 18-5-202 on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 5:30 p.m., at the Sheridan County Courthouse on the Second Floor in the Commissioners’ Board Room, to consider the proposed Sheridan County Comprehensive Plan Update.  Interested persons are invited to the hearing and to present their views, and/or submit written comments to the address below.

The general content of the plan includes information on the county’s existing conditions; citizen contributions; previous county plans and policies; definitions and projected plan capacity.  Key components of the plan include Sheridan County’s vision; changes in Sheridan County since 2008; 2008 Plan Accomplishments; goals and policies related to land use, natural and historic resources, economy, services and facilities, transportation and mobility, and county communities; and implementation strategies. The plan’s primary geographic focus includes all of unincorporated Sheridan County outside of the City of Sheridan Joint Planning Area.

If adopted by the County Commissioners, the updated Comprehensive Plan will supplant the current plan adopted in 2008.
