The proposed plan provides guidance for determining directions and making choices about land uses in the Joint Planning Area (JPA) for the City of Sheridan and Sheridan County, Wyoming. The City and County have prepared the plan to encourage cooperative planning, efficient provision of services, and consistent and compatible decision making. The proposed plan serves as an update to the JPA plan originally adopted in 2009. It includes a Future Land Use Plan map; identifies goals and policies intended to support the Future Land Use Plan; and sets forth specific implementation strategies and an action plan. If adopted by the Board of County Commissioners, the Sheridan Joint Planning Area – Land Use Plan will supplement and amend the Sheridan County Comprehensive Plan approved in 2008 for unincorporated areas inside the JPA.
Paper copies of the proposed Sheridan Joint Planning Area – Land Use Plan may be reviewed in the Sheridan County Public Works Department – Planning Office, 4th Floor County Courthouse, 224 S. Main Street, Sheridan, Wyoming, or may be viewed online.
