Both variances Sheridan County Health Officer, Dr. Ian Hunter, and Sheridan County Public Health applied for have been approved through the state health department. The approved variances will go into effect Tuesday, May 5, 2020, and will allow limited outdoor service for restaurants, cafes, bars, breweries, etc., and modified church services.

Sheridan County Public Health and the Sheridan County Health Officer plan to apply for additional variances in a phased approach which could potentially allow for limited indoor seating for restaurants, cafes, bars, breweries, etc. The phased approach will be closely monitored by Sheridan County Public Health and the Sheridan County Health Officer relating to new local COVID-19 cases.
