Sealed Bids for the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office Renovation and Coroner’s Office/Morgue Project will be received by the Sheridan County, the OWNER, at the 224 S Main Street, Suite B-1, Sheridan, WY 82801, attention: Renee Obermueller, Administrative Director, until 2:00 p.m. prevailing local time, on August 31, 2022. The bid opening will be held in the Commission Board Room, 2nd floor of the new addition to the Courthouse, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Work includes and consists of furnishing all labor, operations, materials, accessories, incidentals, services and equipment indicated, specified, mentioned, scheduled or implied per the Bid Documents for work on the specific aforementioned project. The specific Work includes: renovation of the existing Sheriff’s Office basement and construction of a new Coroner’s Office for additional square footage including all other related items of work as shown on the Bid Documents; and/or work not specifically mentioned which are necessary in order to provide a complete project shall be included in the Bid and shall conform to all Local, State, and Federal requirements in accordance with the requirements, terms, specifications, conditions, and provisions hereinafter contained. The work may commence September 19, 2022 and must be “Substantially Complete” no later than February 22, 2023, as indicated in the Bid Documents.

A MANDATORY PREBID MEETING will be held at the existing Sheriff’s Office location, 54 W 13th Street, Sheridan, Wyoming, on August 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm, prevailing local time.
In determining the lowest responsive bid, the Owner will consider all acceptable bids on a basis consistent with the Bid package. The Owner will also consider whether the bidder is a responsible bidder.
All Bids must be signed and accompanied by evidence of authority to sign. Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond (penal sum form), certified check, or cashiers check in the amount of 5% of the bid proposal. The bid security shall be drawn upon a surety company with a rating of A or better according to the Best publication and licensed in the State of Wyoming. Said bid security shall be forfeited to Sheridan County as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instruction to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids.
No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within forty-five (45) days after the date of the opening thereof.
