The Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determined Act was reauthorized on March 23, 2018 (Public Law 115-141). The reauthorization extended the date by which title III projects must be initiated to September 30, 2020 and obligated by September 30, 2021. On August 7, 2018 the Board of County Commissioners publicly authorized the distribution of 15% of SRS funding to Sheridan County Search & Rescue. Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners intends to obligate 15% of FY 19 title III funding for search & rescue operations conducted on Forest lands.
